About the Company

Czech Business Yangon was founded by U Myo Myint Oo who became the Managing Director. He has many years of experience with business cooperation between Myanmar and the Czech Republic.

 

In 2013, he founded also Traditional Czech Crystal Company Limited which is successfully representing more than ten Czech companies focusing on hand-made chandeliers, stained glass, glass, porcelain and jewellery.

 

As for the exports of Myanmar products to the Czech Republic, U Myo Myint Oo focused considerably on agricultural products. In 2014, he was among the first entrepreneurs in Myanmar who received official organic certificate by UMFCCI for his banana plantations near Yangon. U Myo Myint Oo hold a strong conviction that Myanmar agricultural products have a big potential at the European markets and Czech Business Yangon Co, Ltd. is ready to fully assist with facilitating the access to the Czech Republic market and wider European Union market.

 

Capacity building of Myanmar farmers and obtaining relevant certificates such as certificates for organic products are instrumental for successful business in the European Union markets. Czech Business Yangon CO. Ltd. has many contacts with the Czech companies and is willing to assist Myanmar agricultural producers solve and facilitate their market access. Currently, Czech Business Yangon has a network of partner companies in Myanmar with relevant Memoranda of Understanding specifying this cooperation (MoU).

 

As for the focus on the crops that have a strong potential on European Market, Czech Business Yangon sees priorities in rice, beans and pulses, tapioca, tea, coffee, spices, dry fruits, coconut products and others. Currently, we are cooperating with several leading importers and food producers in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary which composes a strong Center European market.

We are also in touch with several Czech food producers interested in Myanmar market such as producers of dry milk and whey. Currently, there is an interest for long term cooperation of prominent Czech companies in veterinary field with Myanmar partners.

Director of Czech Business Yangon Ms Andrea Hyniova is also a member of Myanmar Women Entrepreneurs Association (MWEA) and International Cultural and Charity Group (ICCG). Prior to moving permanently to Myanmar in 2013, she has been a Czech diplomat with a focus on Myanmar and wider Asia and Pacific region. She joined Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic in 2000 and her various work positions include diplomat for EU-Asia relations at Czech EU Representation in Brussels, Head of Ambassador´s office at Czech EU Representation during the Presidency of the Czech Republic in the European Union in 2009, Deputy Director of Asia Pacific Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic and Chargé d´Affaires of the Czech Republic to Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia and Laos.

 

In 2014, Ms Andrea Hyniova together with U Myo Myint Oo established Czech-Myanmar Business Association and signed Memorandum of Understanding with UMFCCI Trade Promotion Committee. Business activities of Czech Business Yangon established in 2020 therefore capitalize on previous long term business cooperation and contacts.

Ms Andrea Hyniova is also a Director of Traditional Czech Crystal CO., Ltd. and focuses on chandeliers and glass design with inspiration by Myanmar culture. In 2019, she opened a glass decoration workshop in Yangon and introduced unique photosandblasting technology of permanent glass and porcelain decorating as well as glass and porcelain painting fixed in special glass kiln imported from the Czech Republic. As in other activities, our target is create as much as value added directly in Myanmar and contribute to the development. 

 

Given her experience and background, Ms Andrea Hyniova is in Czech Business Yangon responsible for implantation of Czech business promotion program Propea as well as for Business to Business projects and cooperates closely with Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Czech Embassy in Yangon. With Czech Business Yangon Managing Director U Myo Myint Oo and her colleagues, she focuses on activities such as preparation of business plan for entry to Myanmar market, introducing the products to the market, arranging licenses, certificates, registration of products and official products labels (brand name), arranging and verifying the documentation for import/export and logistics, creating and coordination of business partner networks, arranging publicity, marketing and PR services, long term representing of the company in the Czech Republic.

 

As for the importing from the Czech Republic to Myanmar, Czech Business Yangon sees a big potential in high quality medicines, medical equipment and protection against COVID-19 such as face masks and respirators. Czech Republic has been traditionally involved in those sectors and has an excellent range and reach of healthcare services. Within the European Union, it enjoys high standard medical treatment and Czech medical doctors are among the world leaders in the fields of neonatology, pediatrics, burn centers, traumatology, transplantology and  emergency medicine.
